We do not need to panic when we experience negative emotions. Anger, loneliness, insecurity, these may all arise and we do not need to suppress them. Emotions are the result of our thoughts, they are not the cause of our thoughts. Therefore, there is no point in suppressing emotion, for they are merely indicators of our state. To deny their existence is like an ostrich burying its head in the sand.

However, it is also important not to act on these negative emotions. We should not encourage our anger by expressing it. We should not continue to think lonely thoughts. The presence of these emotions is fine, but let us not give them power by continuing to create them.
